Working in Partnership

The Tennessee Envirothon helps students take a holistic view of their environment and also encourages students to choose careers in natural resources.  The individual tests are prepared by resource professionals within the area of specialty.

The major source of funding for the Tennessee Envirothon comes from an EPA-319 Grant which is administered by TDA Nonpoint Source Program.

Additional funding and support is provided by the following;

The state Envirothon committee, made up of USDA/NRCS agency and Tennessee RC&D Council personnel, is an essential part of the Envirothon.  This group guides and directs the Envirothon across Tennessee, from planning lodging and meals to collaborating on the comprehensive question.

Cooperation between Envirothon committee, agency personnel, teachers and RC&D sponsors and the students make the Envirothon a successful event.  However, it is the enjoyment of the competition and the appreciation of the environment that keeps the students coming back each year.

The Tennessee Envirothon is sponsored in part by the following partners;
